Silkscreen mono-prints made together at Glasgow Print Studio.

We work on all of our prints directly together, making decisions in the moment and negotiating decisions. We don’t use any digital technology in our printmaking, we paint directly onto tracing paper, choose a couple of drawings to expose, make the stencils and then get printing. It’s fast paced and unplanned. It’s fun.

We make a lot of prints during a frenetic session, which we then carefully review, saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to each. The yes pile is finished prints, the ‘no’s we continue to work on in our next session.
